I stayed at the Metropolis during my recent stay in S.F. while attending the Fancy Food Show. You have a great staff, service is excellent, the rooms are comfortable, clean and every one was very helpful, courteous and had no attitude, which the large chains seem to have.
I like the nice amenity touches. The morning coffee, free bottles of water, the Welcome Goody Bag. Blanca was very helpful as well as your front desk associate ( she is from Italy - Martina or was it Alexandra - OK, I could be off with the name, but she was really helpful as well as well as Nick and the rest of the front desk staff.
Your biggest asset is your staff. Congratulations. Can you open a Personality Hotel in San Diego, LA perhaps, we need them down here?
I work in the Private Label Chocolate and Mint business and I know how important customer service and customer satisfaction is. I give you a 10 across the board.
I will stay there every time I come to SF. You have a customer for life.

We had a very good stay at your hotel. The price was excellent, the staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean and the bed comfortable. What more could we ask? We were on the very edge of the Tenderloin but the street people weren't any problem. Thank you for a great stay!

Our stay at the Metropolis was wonderful. The staff was courteous, professional and very helpful. The amenities (refrigerator, coffee pot, and little gifts) in your hotel were above and beyond my expectation. We will stay there again.

We reserved 10 rooms for our company's 20th Anniversary celebration. Even though we stayed only one night, we truly enjoyed it. We felt like tourists in our own city as the location is smack-dab in the thick of Union Square, Powell Street, The Tenderloin and all the fantastic shopping on Market Street. The hotel's General Manager, Dave Huddleston, took such good care of us that we will definitely be back. He did a great job of selecting the "best rooms" for us and we loved how each room was special in it's own way. Some of us had rooms with balconies, others with big windows that opened, and some of us even had a suite of rooms that connected to each other. The "Bend Over Backward Package" provided free parking and a $10.00 gas card to each guest. What an incredible bargain for San Francisco. Again, thank you Hotel Metropolis for making our anniversary event extra special.

My wife and I would like to, once again, thank the staff at the Hotel Metropolis for making out stay in San Francisco most enjoyable. The front desk staff were most accommodating with our every request. Everyone was so considerate of our needs. We are recommending Hotel Metropolis to everyone we talk to here in Denver, and I will be adding positive comments to all the websites that invite those comments. We will definitely look to Personality Hotels on our future visits to San Francisco.

I think Thai on reception and the manager were awesome! Not only did they buy me a coffee machine so I did not have to go
downstairs but a nice bottle of wine to welcome me back! I actually felt the service was better than the Clift!
I may have to go back there or Diva for a month or rent an apartment in Steinhart end of May!

I loved my stay at Hotel Metropolis and can't wait to go back! The location is steps from the San Francisco Centre and many clubs and restaurants. The lobby is gorgeous, with a cascading waterfall behind the front desk. The front desk clerk who helped me was charming and funny. I recommend Hotel Metropolis who is looking for VALUE when traveling to San Francisco.

You might be a little skeptical about this place, because it is way, way, cheaper than hotels in the general area. The location is very excellent! Really! I would stay here with my young children. I would look this place up first and foremost, because the rates were a steal.
The room was really very nice, and I had no problems with the hotel staff, or mix-em-ups or anything. It was just nice! It was one of those times when you think to yourself: I am getting some kind of deal!

We stayed here for one night and found it to be good value for money. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and have been recently refurbished. Free wine reception on Fridays and Saturdays, worth going.

I reserved this room because the rate was affordable, especially in light of the charm, amenities and location.
All of my worries - needing access to email over my 10-day stay, needing rest after long days in meetings,
easy access to transportation - were quickly done away with. I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience!

Our stay was enjoyable. The rooms were clean and well kept. And more important, the staff was very friendly
and accomodating. If our plans ever bring us back to the San Fran are, we would definitely think of staying
at the Metropolis again.

Everyone at the Hotel was extremely helpful and nice and it was a plus that you are around the corner from the BART
which I had never used on any of my other stays in San Francisco and I did go to visit a colleague on this trip via the BART.
Also, those little "idea boxes" with the calculator, pen etc... are very cute... I purchased three as gifts, since I thought that they were a great idea.
